about

I’m so glad you’re here

and I look forward to walking alongside you on your healing journey. Get to know me a little better by reading about my story below.

the story behind my journey into mental health

Creative turned therapist

Prior to becoming a licensed therapist, I worked as a graphic designer and social media manager in the marketing department of a large church. I focused on trends and attracting a younger audience due to a shrinking and aging congregation. That meant I spent a considerable amount of time amongst the congregation’s teens and young adults documenting their experiences. The more time I spent with these groups, the more I saw their need for authentic, non-judgmental care that addressed their mental health needs. This motivated me to enroll in graduate school and earn a master’s in psychology. To serve my community in a greater capacity, I am currently pursuing my Doctor of Psychology to become a licensed psychologist.

My Experience

I have experience working in private practice, university counseling centers, and community mental health. I have worked with children and adults from 3 to 60+ years old with various presenting issues. I especially enjoy working with minority women, teens, and LGBTQ+ folx.

MY EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

  • Bachelors of Art // Clark Atlanta University [2010]
